Cranberrian Fair- A Harvest Festival / Oct 13-Astoria

A celebration of local harvest including all things cranberry. Foods, vendors, craft demonstrations and more will showcase the area’s rich heritage. There will be handmade items and baked goods. Craft demonstrations will include quilters, rug hookers, and a blacksmith. Artists will be offering handmade items such as pottery, jewelry, paintings, cranberry vine baskets, baked goods, and more.   Cranberrian Fair buttons are $5 and cover admission to all events at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum.


Second Saturday Art Walk / Oct 13 -Astoria

Every Second Saturday in Astoria

Visit downtown Astoria on the 2nd Saturday of every month for Art, Festive Refreshments, Entertainment, Music, Creative Outbursts and General Merriment!

 

The Great Columbia Crossing / Oct 14- Astoria

Experience the glory of the Columbia River as you trek across the Astoria-Megler Bridge during this unique opportunity to walk/run across the bridge! This 10k offers a scenic adventure on a fairly flat road with one STEEP incline to the peak of the bridge. It is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America

Seaside Sashay Square Dance Festival / Oct 26-27- Seaside

The Hayshakers and Sunset Promenaders Square Dance Club present an old time dance festival open to the public. Also on Saturday you can enjoy the Passport Promenade and Craft Fair. Square Dance attire is admired, but not required.

 

Astoria Jazz Festival / Oct 26-27 -Astoria

State of the art sound, enhanced by natural acoustics, colorful stage lighting, cabaret seating and a cocktail bar. The venue hosts a myriad of music and performance, creating a unique coastal nightclub with a friendly laid-back atmosphere.

 

Boo’z and Blues Concert and Costume Contest / Oct 27 @7pm- Seaside 

Come and enjoy live music from Ted Vaughn Blues Band and the Seaside Elk Lodge. Dress in your best costume for chances to win prizes. Get tickets for just $5 if you bring 2 cans of food to support the Seaside Food Bank.

 

Mystery Dinner and Show: Now You See It / Oct 28 @ 6pm-8pm $60- Seaside 

Maggie’s on the Prom, a local fine dining favorite will be hosting its 4th annual dinner show. The event includes a 3 course special dinner plus a mystery show hosted by the Murder Mystery Company of Portland. Dress in your fanciest evening gowns and suits for an evening of high fashion and suspenseful mystery with a thrilling conclusion.

 

Halloween Happenin’s in Seaside / Oct 27-31- Seaside 

Join in for a fun family weekend.  Most kids’ activities are free. Activities include kids crafts, story time, airbrush tattoos, balloon animals, face painting, fish printing, all ages coloring, an aquatic touch tank, haunted experience, giant pumpkin selfie station and more! You and your kids don’t want to miss this.

Go carts, miniature golf, arcade, helicopter rides, river paddle boats – the list goes on and on. Try something new! Rent a surfboard and take a surf lesson. Rent a surrey and get a workout while you explore Seaside. Register your dog for a fun dog show or informal agility contest. And don’t let winter rain keep you indoors, staring out the window. There are plenty of fun indoor activities, for instance, bumper cars and tilt-a-whirl. Also, the North Coast has two indoor swimming pools for your enjoyment.
